Virley Lou Maxwell of Antioch, TN passed away August 27, 2017, at the age of 66. Virley was born in Milford, NH to the late Benjamin & Mary Kirby Signor. Later on, she moved to Tennessee, where she met her soulmate, Charles Russell Maxwell, and became a loving wife and mother of 4. Virley had a beautiful aspect of life and loved to live life to the fullest, with family and friends. She held family very dear and would love to go on her mother-daughter dates on Fridays with her beloved daughter Michelle. She loved to do many things, and was very good at them: she loved to listen to 60s, 70s and 80s and especially classic rock; she was a great cook, and everyone knew it; she also had a love for gardening, and had a 'green thumb', where it was as if anything she touched, she brought life back to it. Virley was a wonderful person who had a kind heart and soul that touched many, many people. She will be greatly missed and will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the opportunity to have her in their lives.
Virley is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary Kirby Signor, son Kevin Proctor, brothers; Jimmy Signor, Bobby Signor, Ben Signor and Pete Signor, brother-in-law Gary Maxwell and sister-in-law Sandra Lynn Brown.
She is survived by daughters Michelle (Kenneth) Hadley, Lisa Proctor, and Jill (Jason) Hanson, step-daughter Amy (Imad) Ottallah, and one-grandchild Zackery Van Vleck.
In honor of Virley's life, the family invites friends and loved ones for a Visitation Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 5 pm until time of Service at 7:30 pm, in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.
