Dr. Brian Jack Sweetman May, 4, 1936 - January 19, 2016
Dr. Sweetman, beloved husband, father and papa passed away surrounded by family early Monday morning. He was a native of New Zealand who excelled academically throughout his esteemed career. Dr. Sweetman worked for the Australian government before relocating to the states to work in research at Vanderbilt University.
He is survived by wife Carolyn Sweetman, sons Peter, Brendan and Gareth, grandchildren Kaira, Caden, Rangi and Maia, daughter-in laws Terri and Wendy, sister June Scott, nephews Shane and Mark Scott, sister Cheryl Bains, brother-in law Paul Bains and nieces Laura and Mary Bains.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dr. Sweetman February 1, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Unity of Music City Church, 4319 Saundersville Road, Old Hickory, TN 38138.
