Mary Hench Obituary
Mary Hench, age 58, departed this life for her heavenly home on December 9, 2017. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Theresa Nanfro. Survived by husband Bill, her two children Sarah (Ben) and Bryan, and her brother John (Ellen). Mary lived with love and joy throughout her life including her eight-year struggle with cancer.
She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, a neighbor, a nurse and a teacher. She was a gem as a wife and a devoted mother. Mary had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors, nature, wildlife, hiking, and the National Parks. She hiked in and out of the Grand Canyon and she climbed Mount Katahdin. Everybody and everything she touched was a little better because of her.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to an organization that is dedicated to the protection and preservation of wildlife, wilderness, or the National Parks. Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 16, at 11:00 am, St. Edward Church (188 Thompson Ln., Nashville).
