Lesa Kay Colson

On Monday, August 19, 2019 Lesa Kay Colson, loving daughter, sister, wife, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend passed away. Born November 12, 1954, Lesa was preceded in death by her beloved parents Robert and Martha (Nita) Colson (Hicks). She is survived by her husband Timothy Michael Hill, sister and brother-in-law Karen Colson and John Gay, nieces, nephew, and many friends. Lesa graduated cum laude from the University of Texas, Dallas and worked her way up from Hostess at Friday's Restaurant to Director of Payroll for the Carlson Company. She also taught payroll at the university level. Lesa had a passion for life and loved her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs. Over the years she rescued and helped find loving homes for countless dogs. Lesa also loved to travel and she and Tim saw the world together. She battled cancer for over six years and her fighting spirit was an inspiration to many. She was an active member of the Life Central Church, Plano, TX and was very grateful for the support of the church community. Lesa believed in "taking care of each other and the pets in your life and giving thanks to God for all you have and do not have."

A funeral will be held on Sunday, September 1st, 2019 at the Life Central Chapel, 2301 Premier Drive, Plano at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be in Lesa's hometown of Nashville,TN at Woodlawn Memorial Park on August 27 at 2:00 P.M.
