Jere Farley Obituary

Jere Farley, 93, passed away August 9, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary, of 70 years. Survived by his daughter, Jerita Sue Farley. Jere was a proud veteran of WWII and served in Europe. After earning degrees from Peabody College, he was an educator in various capacities including the TN Dept. Of Education and TVA. Jere enjoyed being a lay leader with the United Methodist Church and community volunteering by reading the newspaper for the blind and helping build homes for people here and abroad. A memorial service will be held August 15 at 11am at Connell Memorial Methodist Church, Goodlettsville, TN. Reception and visiting will be an hour prior and following the service.
Memorials may be given to Africa University, PO Box 340007, Nashville 37203 or to your favorite United Methodist ministry.
