On a peaceful evening, God walked through His Garden and plucked a tender flower on March 9, 2020. Harriet Ruth Owens was born on October 17,1928 in Nashville, Tennessee.
For many years Harriet worked as a Dietitian and Manager for Davidson County Senior Program. She enjoyed listening to Jazz and going to the flea market. Harriet always involved herself in civil service and loved to help people. Her hands were rarely still as she loved to crochet and work in the yard.
Harriet was a Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She is preceded in death by her Mother Dilla Freeman and Father Joe Burt. Survived by her daughters Harriett Wheeler and Wyetta Henderson; sisters Phyllis and Martha Burt ;Grandchild Thomesa Chester ;Great Grandchildren Taylor, Carl, and Kendall Chester.
All who loved her dearly will never forget her wit, charm, and undying love.
