Carrie Beatty Obituary

Carrie Zena Jones Beatty, 93, of Nashville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014, surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Beatty. She was born on June 20, 1920 in Nashville, the daughter of the late Alexander Jones and Jessie Irene Roach, the fourth oldest of eight children. Carrie Beatty was a woman who loved her church, Smith Springs Baptist, and her family. Most importantly, Mrs. Beatty loved her Lord and passed this love on to her children, grandchildren , great grandchildren and all others she met. She is survived by 4 children: Jerry Beatty (Linda), Carolyn Payne (Leroy), Jessie Miller (Jerry), and Jimmy Beatty (the late Kathy), 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 1pm to 7pm. Mrs. Beatty will lie in state at Smith Springs Baptist Church on Monday, from 12pm until time of service at 1pm. Services by Brother Van Richmond & Brother Thomas Orman. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
