Billy Turnipseed Obituary

Billy Eugene Turnipseed passed away at Vanderbilt Memorial Hospital on February 4, 2019 from natural causes. He was born in Tallahassee,Florida on March 30, 1927. Mr Turnipseed was a retired riverboat pilot who worked the inland waterways for 30 years. Prior to that he was a law enforcement officer for 15 years. Most notably he was a veteran of World War 2 where he served duty in Japan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Turnipseed and is survived by his daughter, Theresa Tibbs and her husband Wes Tibbs, as well as a son Ted Turnipseed. Mr. Turnipseed also has three grandchildren, three great grand children and one great-great grandchild. He lived a full life and will be missed by all that knew him. At his request there will be no formal services.
