Bertha May Furkins, born May 1, 1956. Died May 25, 2014 at the age of 58.
A beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and niece. Daughter of the Late Margaret Jean & Arthur Armes Jr. She rejoiced in believing that "Generosity is it's own reward" and her priorities in life were giving more than you get, loving family, friends and all life which left her rich beyond measure.
She is preceded in death by husband Kal Furkins, son Michael Armes, brothers Randy Armes & John Powers, and sister Mary E. "Tinker" Hackney. She is survived by sons, Billy, John and Mitchell Furkins, brother Roger (Julia) Armes, sisters , Dorothy Binkley, Kathy (Denver) Krantz, grandchildren Dannica Armes and Shayla Sullivan, aunts, Ruth Vaughn, Robbie Rue and Sue Vanderpool, along with other loving relatives and friends and her beloved dog Cocoa.
The visitation will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014, 2pm-5pm at Ellis Funeral Home, Graveside Services will be at Middle TN State Veteran's Cemetery, Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
