Barbara Youree Obituary

Barbara Elaine Youree of Nashville, TN, passed away in her home, November 9, 2018, at the age of 87. Barbara loved to do things like reading to children, watching birds and tending to her botanical garden during her free time. She was also a proud advocate for women's rights and racial rights.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Ruth Traughber, daughter Melissa Hegwood and brother Joseph Trent Jr. Traughber.

She is survived by her son Stephen Clay Youree, daughter Elaine, grandchildren Katy (Chris) Currence, Kristen Youree and Ashley Delahanty, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In honor of Barbara's life, the family invites friends and loved ones for a Celebration of Life Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Ellis Funeral Home.
