Arlean Collins Obituary
Arlean L. Collins of Nashville passed away at the age of 82 on July 5, 2020. She attended and graduated high school at Altheimer Hign School in Arkansas. She graduated from Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan with an Associate's Degree in Sociology and a concentration in childcare. She used this degree to open and run a community daycare within her own home. She was also an employee of General Motors for several years.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother: William and Mintlean Banks, four brothers: W.T. Banks, Charles Banks, Mack Banks, and Ray Banks as well as three sisters: Betty Banks, Eddie McCord, and Catherine Wedlow. She is also preceded in death by a grandson: Keion and a great-granddaughter Shaniya. She is survived by her husband Johnnie Collins Sr, 2 sons: Earl Lusk (Bathsheba) and Steven Lusk, a step-son: Johnny Collins, Jr (Zandra), 2 step-daughters: Erika Bounds and Prophetess Montrice Robertson (Pastor Tony), and a sister: Bobbie Jean Flowers (Clarence), 5 brothers-in-law: Tommie(Evelyn), Robert (JoAnn), Moses (Elizabeth), Charles (Jamie), and Phillip and two sisters-in-law: Audrey, Glenda, and Mildred. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren: Rotonya, Romelya, Tamasha, Earl III, Jaylan, Steven Rico, Steven, Stariya, Brittjean, Tony Jr, Tevin, Prosperity, Maya, Melissa, Malcolm, Perseus, Darius, Jabori, Kara, Kalayshia, Zarrius, and Zaedyn along with 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and friends. In memory of Arlean's life, a visitation will be held on July 14, 2020 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home located at 2627 Nolensville Pike, Nashville. Elder Louis Caldwell, Jr will be officiating. Another visitation will be held on July 15, 2020 at Ellis Funeral Home from 10:00am until 11:30am with a service beginning at 11:30am. Interment will follow at 2:00pm in procession to Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery located at 7931 McCrory Lane.
