Angelia Ann Solomon

Angelia Ann Morrell Solomon, Born November 3, 1931, in Nashville, TN died Friday, November 24, 2017, at the home of her son and daughter in law after a two-year illness. Angelia Morrell Solomon was the eldest child of J. Jones Morrell and Christine Easely Morrell (Turner). She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, two brothers, daughter, Lesa S. Abell and her husband of 62 years, Hugh Vernon Solomon, Jr. Angelia Solomon is survived by her son, David Mark Solomon and wife Julie, sisters, Betty Jo Burke and Jeannene Mackie and brother in law Paul Burke. She also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. Angelia had a special relationship with her great-niece Angelia Fogarty and two great-nephews, Chris Falcon and Tommy Natcher. She was an Honorary grandmother to Ashley Hodge Williams, Drew Hodge, Bailee Drew Rooker and Billy and Katie Blackwell.

Angelia Morrell Solomon graduated from Central High School in 1950. She worked for Associates Finance where she met her future husband, Hugh V. Solomon and after their marriage raised their two children Lesa and Mark. She worked for Sears for 25 years and then after her retirement worked part-time with her husband at American Paper and Twine Company.

The funeral for Angelia M. Solomon will be held at Ellis Funeral Home, at 2627 Nolensville Pike Thursday, November 30 at 10:30 am with Nephew Tommy Natcher officiating.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm At Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Service. 615-255-5412.... Angelia Morrell Solomon will be laid to rest at 1 pm in Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery alongside her husband of 62 years in Pegram, TN. She was greatly loved and admired by family and friends, she will be sorely Missed. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alive Hospice or American Cancer Society.
