Paul Reed Owen (1954-2024)

Paul Reed Owen, 69, passed away at his home in Franklin, Tennessee after a brief but courageous battle

with glioblastoma.

Paul was born September 9, 1954 in Lebanon, Tennessee to Rev. William and Martha Owen. After

graduating from S.R. Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama in 1972, he went on to earn his business

degree at University of Tennessee Knoxville.

At a later age, Paul enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and sports, especially the Indianapolis

Colts and UT Volunteers. Paul was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband and father. His

knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Carol.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Shirley, and their four daughters: Dawn (Charlie) Parrish,

Eve (Allen) Turner, Renee (Dexter) Baker, and Christina (Steven) Foster; grandchildren Jessie (Brandon)

Dishman, Jeremy Dishman, Paige VanDohlen, Garrett Daubenberger, Breeanna Phillips, and Jake Scott; 7

great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Joanna (Felix) Burda, niece Rachel (Josh) Quinley,

and nephew Joel (Kayleigh) Burda.

Visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2-3pm. Service to follow at

3pm.
