Walter Grooms Obituary

Walter Louie Grooms, age 73 of Nashville, TN. went to be home with the Lord on May 23, 2015. A US Marine Veteran of 8 years and worked in the fiberglass industry for 46 years. Preceded in death by his parents Louie Anderson and Myrtle Ann Grooms and brother JC Grooms. Survived by his wife of 55 years Sherleen Ford Grooms, son Chris Grooms (Donna), daughters Stephanie (Dan) Shacklett and Jeri (Brian) Gorman, grandchildren Shaleena (Justin) Winingham, Christopher Grooms, Jr. and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home from 3-7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11 am, with entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors.
