Blanche Love-Sharer Obituary
Blanche Elizabeth Love-Sharer, born Tuesday, July 12, 1927, lived for 87 years until she went to be with her precious Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her late husband of 47 years, Jess W. Love Sr. and her husband of 7 months James E. Sharer, her brothers Harvey C. Smith Jr., Percy R. Smith, Henry C. Smith, and her sisters Mamie Ashworth & Dorothy Walker.
She is survived by sons: Jess W. (Barbara) Love Jr., John P. (Sheryl) Love, & Steven T. (Zina) Love, daughters: Alice M. (Roger) Hammond & Deborah D. Boyd, along with 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Blanche had a love for bowling and played in the Senior Leagues at the Pla-Mor Bowling Lanes and enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a co-founder and member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church, which she served at faithfully since 1958.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Sunday, February 22, 2015, 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Monday, February 23, from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home. She will lie in state on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:30 pm at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 2921 Louise Dr. Nashville, TN 37211; with Bro. Tim York & Bro. Roger Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family wants to give a special thank you to McKendree Village Health Center 1 East Staff and Alive Hospice for the compassionate care given to their Mother.
